How strict are Disney about having an active AP as you are checking in ?

We will be coming straight from the DCL to POR - so do we really have to dump our bags at POR and go and activate our passes at a park before we check-in?

Thanks

You can show your AP voucher. They will ask that you show them the activated pass the next day. This was my experience.

I agree, we checked in to Pop with just the voucher and activated it the next day when we hit the parks. Check in was no problem.

We had no problem checking in without showing an actual annual pass

Same here. We had only our vouchers at check-in, but were not even asked to show those.

Thanks everyone - one less thing for me to have to worry about.:wave2:

We just got back from splitting our stay at the POFQ and the Poly. I only had the voucher when we checked in at the POFQ, but I was not asked to show my AP at either resort.

We have stayed at rooms several times using an annual pass rate. The only time that we were ever asked was when we stayed at All Star Music. We have stayed at AKL, CSR, POLY and others with AP rates and have never been asked for them at check-in (or any other time for that matter). I guess it is all up to the CM that is checking you in.

I booked the Pop Century reservation and told them AP rate, please. Got it. Checked in and was not asked ever for the AP. Was just told what we owed on the reservation. In fact, we didn't get them until our last day at Pop. We were going to Saratoga Springs after that and that's when we started going to the parks.
