So...I bought the Deluxe Annual Pass Vouchers at Costco not realizing that Saturday was a blockout day for the Deluxe pass. We are going on our trip from June 12th - June 16th. My plan was to stay at the DLH for MM on Saturday and then move to the HOJO for Sat. - Tues. I didn't even think to check the block out calendar. I had planned on activating the annual pass on Friday night so that we could get right in to MM on Saturday. Since I obviously cannot do that now...how much of my MM will I have to give up to activate the annual pass? Should I try to reschedule my DLH stay so that I can get MM on a different day? Any ideas? I do feel a bit foolish for not checking the calendar first! Thanks so much!

I THINK if you stay on property you are not blocked out, but triple check that

If you wait until Saturday to activate it, then you can enter the parks. If you activate it Friday night, then you are out of luck for Saturday. Not sure about getting in for MM, though.

I think if you get to the gates really early, and get right in line at the ticket booth or even guest relations/services (if they can do the Costco voucher and giftcard thing), you won't really miss MM.

Is it just you with the voucher? Is there someone that can get in line at the gate while you take care of the voucher? That would be even better.

Staying at the hotels gets you MM on the days it's offered no matter what sort of admission you have, but you have to have valid admission. If the OP gets her AP on Friday, it's not going to be valid on Saturday unless she gets a blockout pass for $40. But getting the AP on Saturday, they are kind and let you stay and hop on the day you get or upgrade an AP, so it will be valid admission if she does it on Sat.

You know, if you stayed at DLH Friday *and* Saturday, you'd get both Sat and Sun MMs.... Heck, if you stayed elsewhere Friday, then moved to the DLH for Saturday, you could check in super-early Saturday, get MM that morning, stay overnight, do Sunday's MM, and THEN move hotels...:rolleyes1 A little crazy, but it could be worth it, if you love your MMs.

I do love my magic mornings and so I have booked for Friday and Saturday nights. I will have my family with me so I will take care of the vouchers on Saturday morning while they wait in line for the magic morning. It will be me and my two children along with my mom. Since she is an adult, will she need to process her own voucher or can I do it all?

Thanks for all the help....

Since I don't know what all is involved when turnign in the Costco voucher and getting the temp AP pass/voucher (which you later take into the AP processing center and have pictures taken), I'll let someone else tackle the question of who needs to be there at the booth when turning in the Costco voucher. I wonder if that info is in the thread about it?

And I'm glad you already have Sat booked so you can have your Sunday MM too. :)

When I found my mistake about the block out dates and knew I would have to take care of it on Saturday, I called and booked Saturday night right away. For me, the best reason for staying onsite is the MM and if I was going to miss part of it on Saturday, I definitely was going to get it on Sunday!

We have passes that just expired so I believe we won't have to have new pictures taken...I think I read they can just print new passes at the ticket booths using the pictures on file.

Thanks again...

Oh yes, definitely! We didn't have the giftcard aspect, so we just went over to Guest Relations/Services (the one to the left of DL...I can never remember if that's Services or Relations, as opposed to the one to the left of DCA's gates) and they printed out hubby and son's APs from their non-costco vouchers.

I don't htink you can go there, though...I've been reading through threads here and on mouseplanet, and everyone seems to indicate that only the ticket booths have the giftcards that come with the Costco AP vouchers.

Just get there early and be in line for the ticket booths as soon as you can (you might try the ticket booths across from the DTD side of security, b/c I always see huge lines on the DTD side, but never a huge line on the Harbor side) and you'll be fine.
