activating a AP pass before check-in

I'll be staying at POR and was wondering the easiest way to activate our AP passes between the airport and POR before check-in. "Using the AP discount."

Don't sweat it. If they ask, show them your voucher. I've never even had them ask (always been prepared with the voucher, though). From what I've read, the worst that will happen is that they will charge you the regular rate till you visit a park and you can go back to Guest Services to show the AP and get the rate redone.

As I said, they've never asked to see the AP.

Same topic so I thought I'd ask here- soooooo...... if you do check in with AP voucher not activated yet- and all is well-can you get it activated into the AP in the morning early enough to be able to go to EE at that park? I guess I'm wondering- if you are going to EE at that park, are they open and ready for business in all ways so they can activate my AP for me to take advantage of that EE?

Darlene,
They will accept your voucher at check in. When we used the AP discount at AKL last year they never even asked to see the AP (which was activated). This is not a worry, so, don't worry about it and enjoy planning for your trip. BUT....to answer your question, you can have it activated at DD at guest services or at the guest service window at one of the parks.

OK, what a relief. Thank you for putting my mind at ease. The less we have to do before we check in the better. My kids always like to hit the pool before we start in with the parks.

I think you can also have it activated at the Disney Store inside the Orlando airport. We purchased ours there and they activated them at the same time. This seemed a lot more efficient than having to do it at the park or making a separate trip to DD.

We were never asked to show them at our resort and did have our room booked with the AP rate.
