Anyone have them? Will I soon be able to type like normal again? Do you love them or wish you'd never put them on?

I have had mine on for about a month. (filled about 10 days ago). It takes a bit to get used to. Mine are not really long though- I couldnt' deal with too much length so had them pretty short and then filed some off when I got home! LOL. Maybe you need to shorten them a bit?
Good luck. You'll get used to them.

I had them for years, you definitely will get used to them. I got mine taken off a few months ago and it was so traumatic and painful I doubt I'll ever get them back on again! My nails grow fast so it was expensive for me, around $40 a month to maintain them.

Have had them for years - no problems typing.

I had them for a short while.....my problem was after I decided I did not want them....
my own nails which used to grow fast and strong...were weak and peeling for a few years after!!!

They are only just now back to normal!!

They really screw up your real nails if you decide to remove them. It also gets rather expensive because you have to have them filled in around every 2 weeks because when they start growing out, the nails look yucky.

I've had them before, and the only safe way I could remove them was to soak my hands in acitone(sp) nail polish remover. It reduces the nails to a gummy substance that is easily pulled off with a papertowel.

I was hoping no one would bring up taking them off. :faint: I had them years ago and I remembered the trauma - I swore I'd NEVER get them again but all of my friends and co workers have them and they look so nice I succumbed to the peer pressure :)
I had them short but I think they aren't quite short enough. :)

There are always silk wraps instead... not quite as durable as acrylic, but not quite as damaging either.

I keep mine rather short too, can't tell you about typing because I can't do that good even without nails on! LOL!

I love the look of longer nails, I think they make your hands and rings look so much nicer.

I have had mine on for a while. I do give my nails a break about 2 weeks a year. I can type fine. Mine are a lil bit longer than what I used to have them. My husband really likes them except for the click, click, click he hears when I am typing. :thumbsup2

I've had mine on since early July. I had them on last year before I left to do the Disney College Program but they don't allow long nails so I removed them ahead of time. I finally got around to getting them put on again in early July and I've had them on since then. I get them filled every 2-3 weeks. I love having them. My fingers are kind of chubby looking so having longer, pretty nails makes my fingers look longer and less stubby. I don't have any problems with them. At first you feel like you can't do anything but then it feels more natural. I have no problems typing, cooking, writing, etc.

I hope this isn't OT but....

I used to have acrylics and when I took them off my nails were awful. Then I discovered Nail Envy by OPI. I used it and kept my nails polished and now they look as good or better than the fake ones.
