I've seen lots of acronymns on this board such as DH, DS, DS8 etc. often used to describe family members.

I'm stumped, what do they mean?

Well, I'll be ... I always thought it was Disney Husband, Disney Son etc. ... Just when you think you know something .....

i did too but i saw it on another fourm and i was wondering why they were saying disney husband, etc. but whenever im on disboards it is disney husband, etc.

Here's some more:

TIA - Thanks in advance
HTH - Hope this helps
ROTFL - rolling on the floor laughing :rotfl2:

CM = Cast Member -- this applies to WDW employees, including cruise line employees

I too thought DD=disney daughter and DS=disney son, etc.
Maybe we're the one's that have it right and the DearSon or DearWife, etc was wrong!!!

The CMs on the ships call themselves Crew Members, Cast Members are on land or on stage.

Thanks for the link. I've stumbled across it before (while lurking) but can never seem to find things when I need to. :confused3 I saved it as a favorite for future reference.

:teeth: Youre welcome!
If you lose it again, you can go to the Dis Main Boards page, then click on the Welcome Board. The link to abbreviations is posted under the sticky thread up top titled "Useful info for newbies".

And, if you notice DIS Cast Member under someones name on these boards that does not mean they are a cast member or crew member for Disney, but just that they have reached a certain amount of posts on the boards. Thought I would add to the confusion!! DIS cast member is a term that just refers to these boards!!!

This is such and entertaining post :goodvibes . Here is another one. IMHO In my humble (or is it honest?) opinion. I like humble better. It is less Simon Cowell :teeth:
I always get confused when reading about the Disney hotels. Eiye, Yi, Yi!!
