Acer Tablet in Target's Ad $399

Target has the Acer Iconia A500 Wi-Fi tablet for $399 tomorrow and you receive a $50 Target gift card with purchase. Regular price is $449.99. Anyone know if this is a decent Tablet? I've been looking at Kindles and the Color Nook but think I'd rather have a tablet but they cost quite a bit more than the eReaders.

I don't like that is only wifi. But I don't know a lit about them except it's fun to play angry birds on the displays at office depot

Nook Color is cheaper. Works great as an Android WiFi tablet. My DD8 loves her.

Its running google honeycomb good tablet. I like that has wifi only myself. I am not have paying for 3g or 4g service just have the internet on a tablet.

The next google update is ice cream sandwich that should be out by the end this year.

The Nook unless rooted the nook that I think but I not sure want have full access to google android market place.

On the boards everyone is talking about rooted there nook color. rooted another tablet that can access to android market and flash.

I am waiting on the amazon tablet to come out myself.

If buy nook color you will have rooted it get access to android market. It was me just tablet that already has on.

It has the official Google market You not need a contract to buy this tablet. Yes it wifi only which good thing because you have sign a contract with ATT, Sprint or Verizon.

What part that don't understand. The Nook color is ereader that runs on google andriod operating system under the hood. For you access the full google operating system that put froyo version 2.2 plus flash you have rooted nook color for work like a tablet.

The update version google operating system is 2.3 version which called gingerbread. The one is coming some time this year called code named ice cream sandwich. No I am not making this up. I am serious.

Yes I am. I would buy the Acer tablet myself because I like the specs and running the honeycomb. Plus it wi-fi only and I do not I have sign a contract either.

I know I can't write worth anything. That i can't help no matter how much tutoring I get.

If talking to you in person. I could explain it easily to you. Sometimes I wonder how I got through high school and college. Sighs.

Make so bad going back school again in August because i got grant because I pass some hands on test at career center. I only one past the hands- on part but fail the written part. They is letting into program because I got 100 percent on the hands on part.

Just to let you know I was in Target today and there was a disclaimer on the ad board that the model in the ad was a typo. I don't remember which one is the correct model for this price, but I would call your local Target to verify.
