Again, apologies for the coaster gobbledegook, but find below cut 'n' paste from my trip report on a coaster site.

*********************************************************************************

Just a few comments after getting back early this morning from Florida starting off with my new updated top 10 coaster list

1. Nemesis
2. Gwazi (Lion)
3. Kraken
4. Duelling Dragons (Fire)
5. Grand National
6. Kumba
7. Hulk
8. Montu
9. Air
10. DLP Space Mountain

A few of those surprised me. Nemesis is still by far the best inverter, and now easily beats Montu as it's been heavily trimmed since my lasdt visit there 4 years ago.

Gwazi was my first large wooden twister and the ride is absolutely mad, although the Tiger side is noticeably more painful.

Kraken was my first floorless as I missed it in 1999 but was awesomely smooth with some awesome airtime coming out of the zero-g in the back row.

DD fire was easily Florida's best inverter (i certainly didn't notice any trims) with some nice airtime for an inverter on the first near miss crossover.

Grand National is still in there for lots of personal reasons and the racing element which was sadly lacking on Gwazi

Kumba is IMO still the best B&M sitdown in florida for its overall ride and although has no launch like the hulk, is not over after the verical loop. Hulk this time was decidedly rougher than in 1999 especially after the vertical loop.

Montu is regretably far lower than I expected due to the trims and jerky ride on the front row.

Air is still in there, again for largely personal reasons, but the unique ride still works for me.

Finally, and surprisingly, DLP Space Mountain stays in there for the overall experience. I was expecting it to be superceded by R 'n' R coaster but despite a near 'thunderlooper' launch, was very dissapointing indeed.

Those to drop out of my top 10 were Collossus and Nemesis Inferno.

A few other quick points, especially aimed at those planning trips and mainly to do with expense.

1. Drinks in the parks are soooooooo expensive ($2.50 upwards). In the heat which we had, you can easily spend $30 per day just keeping refreshed. A good tip is to freeze mineral water bottles and take them with you as they slowly melt during the day but it's a pain to carry them around with you.

2. Expect also similar prices for ice-cream and food. By far the most expensive food is at Universal where you need $15 per day just for a basic lunch.

3. Parking costs also seem to have risen and will cost you $6-$8 per day also.

4. Look out for 'dipping dots' the new ice-cream invention which is over florida like a rash. It's a bit like ice-cream hundreds 'n' thousands, tastes naff and unloads $3 out of your wallet for a tiny tub.

5. On ride photos averaged a whopping $16 each !!!!!!

6. For those of you visiting and looking for bargains, I think Florida business has caught on to the brits wiping them out and there are very few bargains to be had. Forget Addidas & Reebok outlet stores, as their prices are scandalous and more than uk prices. The only reasonable bargains which I found were at the Nike factory stores with trainers approx half the uk prices.

Best park of the trip- IOA

Worst Park- None really, as all held diffrent surprises

Best Coaster of Trip- Gwazi Lion

Worst Coaster- Woody Woodpecker (Rollerskater I think- far too short)

Best non coaster- Popeye & Bluto Bilge Rat Barges

Worst Ride- Tidal Wave at Busch

Best Humour Moments- Jiggy Jiggy to the birdy song on Nickleodeon toon blast, Swimming lesson on Popeye Barges, Swimming Lesson on Kali river rapids, wife not knowing about the water drop on Jurassic ride

Dissapoiting A list attraction- Rhino Rally, Busch and polar expedition at Seaworld.

Missed rides:

Journey to Atlantis- Closed for Re-hab until end of May
Haunted Lighthouse, Busch- Not quite open
Shrek 4d- Not quite open.
Mission Space- Not open but looked awesome.

Holiday frustrations:

Freight trains past our villa in the middle of the night with their horns blazing.
Roadworks on the I4 every night on the way back to the villa.
Very long travellator assisted walks to Universal from the car parks.
Weather was extremely hot and well above usual averages

Holiday High Points

My young boy's first coaster inversion at age 5 (Skorpion, Busch)
Virtually no rain.
My young boy's face on Tower of terror (Priceless)
Walk on & stay on rides on Kraken.
Wet & Wild- A real nice surprise with awesome and unique flumes. Just take a ride on Storm to get the idea
