Looks like we will have 3 days at Disneyland at the end of our holiday. Which accommodation do you all recommend? we will not have a car, so it has to be close, we are a family of six. DH would like to be able to hang back and relax if he doesnt want to go to the parks. It will be hard because we would have just spend nearly 3 weeks at WDW at their resorts, but I dont really want to be paying big bucks again for accommodation, but dont want to stay at anything nasty either. Any advice would be appreciated.

We stayed at the Hojo in a family suite. I think it would take 6 people. The bedroom has a queen size bed. The second room has a bunk bed and a double pull out couch.
They sell out really quickly, so depends on when you're going.

Thanks Shaz, it was also recommended by the travel agent but I checked it out and their rooms only sleep 5, they might have connecting rooms so will wait and see.

I found Park Vue Inn which had good reviews and sleeps 6, has anyone stayed there etc????? I can get 3 nights for $500 which includes breakfast.

We stayed there in 2011. We had a queen plus bunk bed room. It was wonderful being so close to the entrance.
We had no problems at all. The rooms were basic, but clean. The breakfast was ok. Toast, make your own waffles, fruit etc.
We would stay there again. The reason we didn't this last trip is because we felt ripped off that they no longer offered free bottled water, fruit, cookies and a light meal in the evening!

Not sure whether 3 Queens would work for your family, but we stayed at Best Western Park Place Inn a month ago. In one of their mini suites. Nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable. It has 2 queen beds and a pull out sofa bed. Our 2 girls slept on the sofa bed and were fine. And it is the closest to the parks, so great for getting there. Free breakfast too.

We have stayed twice at the Fairfield Inn (by Mariott) and are staying there again next year.

Nice and close with great views. Convenient food options and has always been clean.

You can book -and be guaranteed- connecting rooms which will give you 2 bathrooms. You will have 4 double beds and 2 fold out sofas.

We are paying $179 per room per night for a theme room with park view.

Can answer any questions about it :)

We stayed at carousel inn, great location opposite the gates. We had a family suite. Two bathrooms, two queen size and one king. Room was clean. Plenty of people complain about the free breakfast but it was perfectly adequate for us. Cereal toast etc.

Hi we are a family of 6 and both times have stayed at the doubletree and been very happy. The last time was October 2012 and we used the bus system. We had also been to WDW for a few weeks and hubby and oldest boy 17 were sick of it so spent the day by the pool ( small) and shopping ect while the rest of us went to do cars land.

We just stayed at the best western park place inn and suites and like aussie shaz said, it was clean and fine.. No issues, and fairly cheap. If you want something a little nice the carousel inn suites look really nice to me with a seperate lounge and bedrooms. It might be nicer there for dh to be hanging out and it's also very close to the parks, just a few hotels up from best western park place inn,

We've stayed at the HoJo twice now, once in a faily suite in 2009 and again in 2012 in two connecting rooms with 2 dbl beds each. The family suite was lovely for smaller kids, but the two rooms suited us better now that my girls are growing taller every day! If you to the Howard Johnson Anaheim website and sign up for their email deals you can sometimes get a 50% off deal. Our two dble rooms only cost is $120 per night total. Only downside is no free breakfast but there are plenty of options to eat nearby.

The Ramada Maingate at the Park has recently built a new wing with family suites which look really nice. If we weren't going to Orlando next instead of Anaheim I would seriously consider staying there.

Wherever you choose to stay I'm sure you'll have a fantastic holiday.
Happy planning,

Liz

This place sounds like it might work really well for my family.

They have a couple of options for families if six, we stayed in a resort suite.

Thanks gogo. We are just a family of four, but one of them is my mother-in-law. Don't get me wrong, I love my MIL. But I think a bit of space at the end of some busy days will do us all a world of good. :)
