Another option you could consider, you may struggle to get accomadation now.
but rent DVC points to stay on Disney you can get 2 value studio's at Animal kingdom lodge for 46 points (you can rent points for $10 each) so $460.
I know this is a little dearer but you would be at the AKL for around £300
Old key west is a little dearer at 52 points for 2 studio's for the 2 nights.

Also a good option, but availability might be a thing. OP is going at a time that is pretty populare for DVC. At those time the 'good value' rooms are booked up earliest, like the standard view at BWV, value rooms at AKV etc.

Two nights is easier than more nights but esp. if those nights are during the weekend, it could be a pickle to find availiabity even if you have somebody willing to rent out the points.

If going down this path, I'ld have a back up plan in case the renter does come back with 'no availability left'.

There are no room discounts for this weekend because its Thanksgiving weekend.

I am going to try again to find the best western lakeside - I cant seem to get it to come up as an option ??
Think at this point in time it is definatly going to come down to what we can afford not where my heart would love us to be !!

We loved it there - the rooms are really big. Also the location is fantastic. There is a Walgreens right in the car park which was super convenient.

notsure how much it would be but its worth pricing, but some friends of ours stayed at Gaylord Palms for a few nights lastyear around the same time and got a really good deal

We went and spent the day with them and the hotel was amazing, and also took the kids to the "Ice Show" which was something we had never done before.

It might be really expensive but its worth a look
