Accidents Can Happen At Any Theme Park

Last night a boy stood up on the Swishy Fishy ride at Sea World and fell out on his head. He was taken to the hospital where he was treated and released.

For those who have wondered if we only hear of accidents at WDW, the answer is no. Locally, we hear of anything like this.

there were at least 3 deaths last year at NY-area amusement parks. they made the local news, but I doubt anyone outside of the area would have heard about them.

but if it happens at WDW it becomes the lead story.

It's one of the new kiddie rides that recently opened in the Shamu's Happy Harbor section. IIRC, it's a teacup style ride.

we hear about most of the accidents here... most everyone heard about Kings Islands coaster that hurt 27 people... if something happens at Cedar Point that usually gets out too! Hope the boy is ok!

Everyone hears about the Disney accidents because they are usually the only ones that make it on to the National news wires.
