Accident at the MK tonight

A 77 year old man slipped and fell trying to get on Peter Pan and fell between cars. Fantasyland was shut down and he was flown by helicoptor to the hospital, he's OK.

I saw the story on WESH local news and a women interviewed was the one who said that fantasyland was shut down, it wasn't a Disney person though, just a guest.

Well, if he was really seriously injured, they probably didn't want to be pushing him on a stretcher through a big crowd of people. I can see the reasoning behind that. Why cause a bunch of gossip and theories that would inevitably happen?

What they said on our local news was that they thought his injuries were much more serious then they turned out(thankfully) to be. Can't verify the shutdown part though because like I said, that part of the story came from a interview with a guest who said she was in Fantasyland when it happened.

I'm sure just temporarily, time just to get the chopper in. Man, if it were my Grandad, and Disney went to that kind of trouble for him...I'd be beyond appreciative!!!!

Thank goodness he's OK! That must have been scary for him and his family! I can't even imagine going from being so happy to so scared!

Personally, I do NOT like the loading/unloading system on PP. I have the hardest time getting on and off that ride. I am 38 years old, average size and every time I go on that ride, I nearly injure myself. I hate that moving sidewalk and it seems way too rushed to get on and off, especially if you're helping a small child get on & off too.

I really hope this man is ok. My heart goes out to him and his family.
