every so often I check the website for my school district, just to make sure I'm up to date at school.
it's 11:30 in the morning and I just found this message on the web page:
(June 6, 2003) In the event that you may have seen or heard rescue activity at **** Middle School today, be advised that a construction worker (working at ****) fell from a beam and had to be medevaced to Stony Brook Hospital. The situation is unrelated to students and staff.
my mom was over at the school twice this morning -- at 7:45 when she drove my daughterto school, and about an hour later when she brought my daughter's gym clothes to school (dd is lucky to have her grandma around), and my mom didn't see any "rescue activity". so the accident had to have happend after 9 o'clock. that notice went up very fast, didn't it?
I'm glad it wasn't a student or teacher who was hurt, but I do feel for the construction worker who had the accident. usually they don't medevac you to Stony Brook unless it's serious.
edited to ad -- my mohter was actually at the school at 10:00, not 9. the accident could have happened beofre she was there, or after she left, but she didn't see any ambulances or police cars at the school. I wonder what my dd saw/heard, if anything.
