My husband gave me an IPhone for my birthday!

What kind of case to you suggest? I carry it in my purse and I am worried about breaking it.

Is the 2 year extended warrenty worth getting?

Ate there any other accessories I should consider getting?

Thanks for your help!

Cases......too many options, but I'll tell you what we are doing. The wife got a silicone cover thing from iLuv and she seems to like it. I got a candyshell from Speck and it's OK. I had one on my 3G but on the 4G phone it just seems to make the phone to thick, so I'm currently using a bumper. I highly, highly recommend getting some screen protectors from Power Support, they are the best in my opinion. I had used an Invisible Shield when I first got the phone as I needed something until the new films came out from Power Support came out. It worked ok, but I just did not like the feel. It all boils down to personal preference. I'm not sure there is any case that will give you 100% protection but there are several good options out there and I think there are more being released daily.

I'm jealous!!!! But now you can get e-ticket!!! You enjoyed looking at mine last spring. Hope you are enjoying it.

Miranda was saving up for a new iPod Touch but is now thinking she is going to buy herself an iPhone. Let me know what you think of it.

Hey Theresa! Rick and I are going to upgrade to Iphones today or tomorrow (I hope). Apple is still doing free bumper or case through Sept 30. It's on the Apple website. Looks like you have to go through an app and pick what you want. But hey, free is free- even if I find something I like better, I figure I'll have a back up.

I have a speck candy shell and my DH has an Otterbox Defender. He can be rough on stuff so I made sure he had a super protective case. I also have an invisible shield on my phone which took some time to get used to the feel.

I recommend the apple care because its not just and extended warranty but free tech support too. Also, if you are no longer using the phone (ie lost, upgraded, etc) they will refund you the prorated amount of the waranty.

Enjoy your new phone!

DH and I are using bumpers and we like them.

Yes, the free case program is still going on. The app is very simple to use, I just helped my Mom order hers, and there are a number of choices from several manufacturers.

Enjoy your phone!

I would go with the Otterbox Defender. My iPhone 4 is in one and both my old 3G and my wifes 3Gs are all in Otterboxes.

Expensive, yes, but protective and the best case I have seen, yes. I tend to occasionally have a clumsy streak so I like knowing that dropping my phone isn't going to cost me $600-800 bucks to replace. When you look at it that way, $50 seems a lot cheaper.

Also, I found a discount code through google that got me free shipping and $5 off, so you may want to try that if you order through OtterBox.

Just FYI.... Otterbox Defender cases can usually be found on Amazon.com for significantly less. I have bought many for the 3G and 3GS for work and paid about $20. Not sure what the one for the 4 runs, but I would imagine less than $50.

Myself, I am pretty careful with my 4. I have 2 cases. I have a smoke colored Incipio case that I picked up at Walmart for $20. Its a plyable plastic and protects the back and sides, good scratch and impact protection. This is the case I use when I am doing something active like going to Disney. I also have an InCase Snap case (though the Apple free case program). Its my "pretty" case as it is clear and you really cant tell there is even a case on the phone. Offers good scratch protection, not so much for impact protection. It is my everyday case.

OK, I am just realizing that I am providing my phone with a wardrobe. I am dispicable.:sad2:
