I am meeting my brother on Sunday at his resort, POR. I am staying at OKW. We are both arriving at about 11:00 am (him from N.Y, me from Ft.Lauderdale). Since we may not be able to get into our rooms and call each other to arrange a meeting place, we decided to meet at the Cotton Co-Op at POR at about 12:00 pm.
Will I have trrouble getting thru the guard gate without a priority seating or a reservation for POR?

You should not have an issue. When you go to OKW and check-in even if your room is not ready yet they will give you a parking pass to put in your dashboard. Just drive over to POR and the guard will ask the purpose of your visit and just tell him you are there to meet your brother. He should just let you in. There is no valet here so just self park. Just to be clear even if you do not have your parking pass yet it would not be a problem getting in. We always visit the other resorts when we go to WDW.

I agree, once you get that all important parking pass, you'll have no trouble getting into POR. But if you don't have the pass, the guards at the gate will ask for a photo ID, and proof that you're staying on WDW property (any registration papers will do). We had a cooler for other family members in our van that we needed to deliver to POR (we were at AKL) and they let us through the gate once we displayed our parking pass. Hubby even asked for directions to his brother's room, explaining the circumstances. The guard was very nice, and gave us great directions!

You can get into any resort with a photo ID and not be staying there. Disney never discourages anyone from shopping at their on property stores. As a pin collector, we check out the pin racks at all of the resorts.
