I will be going to WDW this spring,staying at All Star resorts.....I would like to visit other areas off the disney property, and would like to access a Walmart for groceries etc when I arrive.I will not have a car, and wondered if there are any areas nearby which can be reached by walking, or bus or taxi...also any idea how much the taxi fares are to these areas. Also, if there is a city transit system available.

The only restaurant you could walk to from the All-Stars is McDonald's. I don't recall seeing any sidewalks, though, so you would have to cut through parking lots to get there.

If you are talking a towncar from the airport, you could always request a grocery stop and they can take you to a store (of their choosing usually) for groceries. I have not taken a taxi to anywhere but Universal, so I can't help you on prices. I do know you can catch the Lynx busses at the TTC center to get to other places in the city. I'm sure someone else knows the possible rotues a lot better than me
