Accepting VMK is closing..

After nearly three years of "magic", VMK has finally come to a close. As learned from past experiences from complaining about poor judgement by VMK, they staff just never seemed to care but instead ignored our messages. I just want people to not get their hopes about VMK returning, not even as a pay to play game. So for the final days, I beg everyone to please just enjoy them. Make these days the last best moments of your virtual life, do things you always wanted to.. I'm sure yavn probably didn't want to actually close this game but I guess for whatever real reason forced him to close VMK.. (I honestly don't think that VMK would close this late if it was only meant to be open for the 50th celebration)

I do understand the sadness and anger some feel.. infact I myself was shocked and a bit upset by their decisions but now I realized what good would being upset over a game be? "All good things come to an end.." and hopefully we can all just be happy with the memories we made and all the great people we met during our time in VMK. Just remember we got a whole month before VMK actually closes, so don't worry now.. have a blast during the time we have left!

I want it SAVED!! Of course I do, we all do. But I know of someone who shared this experience with me, through good times and bad, and I can't for a second do anything but appreciate every moment of it. I thank her, and I thank VMK, all my friends, the VMK Staff and Hosts (Especially Phinny). I'm not saying my goodbyes just yet, but to all of you, Thank You. Goodbye can wait until later, but I should have said Thank You long ago!

Very well said vmkfan13. I agree with you 100%! I actually just said basically the same thing in another post. I am sad that VMK is closing, but I know Disney and I do not think that they will change their mind and I can accept that. Most of the Disney cast members don't even know what VMK is or have even heard of it as it is only a very small portion of the Disney company. Everyone said that they knew it was going to happen sooner or later and unfortunately that time has come. I am going to make the most of my last few weeks and get pictures of everything and try to make everything as normal as possible.

Don't let VMK closing ruin Disney for you and don't let it ruin your last few weeks either as they will go by very quickly.

Yes , Disney like any business has a bottom line, and with the closing of vmk in the parks last year, closing also Jan 2009 of disney movie rewards, they decided to close,and have there reasons, yavn's newsletter did explain why, and no I don't think they would change there mind at all. They have done all the research and I am sure looked into making it a pay to play game, like some of their others, but saw it unfeasable. Was in a room to nite, room description said, it was a be day party for someone. A person walked in and started saying that they were contacting this and that, and on and on, and while I do sympathize, decided to hurry and relocate this party, because it is sad, but life moves on, and I myself want to enjoy the last few weeks there, and this party, some will be very sad, and again I sympathize, but am going to enjoy what I can, and the time I have left with friends, and move on.
