Thanks for posting the pix. We're going to be in Acapulco in three months! Do any other ships shoot off fireworks?

The only ship that has a firework show is Norwegian Star's Mexican Fiesta at the Fort of San Diego, I heard that they may cancel the Fiesta due to high fees to have the show at the Fort. It's still not confirmed, and the other cruise ship with fireworks on board is the Disney Magic.

Roberto,

I just want to add my thank-you's to what you have done. I am very impressed with your camera work, volunteering the idea of the race, and then going to the powers that be to arrange for a special welcome for the August repositioning. I am not on the current cruise or even contemplating the August repostioning cruise, but your efforts have put Acapulco in a very favorable light. I will definitely have to rethink my future cruise plans.

It was certainly my pleasure and I am sure that once you visit us, Acapulco will be the highlight of your cruise.

Feel free to contact me for recommendations or just to say Hi.

I am already planning for the August repo cruise...I am still trying to make it a bit different but just as special.

Hi Roberto,
We are on the Aug repo cruise, and I have some new questions for you please. First can we rent a moderized skooter in Acapulco and also how safe is it for us to run around town by ourselfs. Also how far is Home Depot from the port because I work for Home Depot in New Orleans, and my boss would like to see some pictures of Home Depot out side of the US.
Thanks again,
Pam

Hi Roberto!

I can't wait to come and visit you in Acapulco! It has been so much fun reading this thread. My group will be on the August Repo. So, where do we go for all the fun? We are lucky enough to spend the night, what do you recommend? I want to dance!

I strongly advise to avoid renting skooters, traffic is very, very dangerous for moped users. Sorry to be so blunt, but local drivers have very little regard for traffic laws and yellow cabs (collective cabs) have originated many accidents due to racing each other on every road in Acapulco.

Home Depot is located on the Cuahtemoc, right in front of the Papagayo Park and City Hall. It is an almost carbon copy of what you have back home, you will be surprised.About 10 minutes away by cab.

Hope you have fun.

Hi Kathy,

Great, we might run into each other at a club, I am so excited!!

I can't even start tp tell you there are so many fun clubs in Acapulco, I personally prefer Sr. Frogs to start off, then to Palladium till 7am then el Zorrito for breakfast.

Another great choice would be the live music at Hard Rock Cafe.

If you love bar hopping, go to the Condsa beach area; start off at Mangos then head west to all of the clubs till you end up at One DollarBar. You can see me jumping from the bugy about 2am after I'm wasted from all of the partying.(not comfirmed, I need half a bottle of Te-kill-ya to get the valor)

Here's a web page to look at all of the different night life options.

Hi Roberto,

Thanks for the great information! It sounds like so much fun! I can hardly wait. I'm also excited to hear back from your contacts at the Cici water park about the swim with the dolphins. Summer is almost here and that means we are getting closer and closer to being on our way! :cool1:

Note that they have an arrangement with cruise lines, not to reserve for cruise guests, just tell them your staying in a hotel in the bay.

Hi Fernando!

Do you know if there is any beach :sunny: horseback riding I could set up on my own? Thanks for your help
