WeâÂÂd been planning our trip since late August, and were looking forward to going! We were concerned about Zach, the baby, whose behavior isnâÂÂt always the best. DH clearly thought we should wait a year, but I wouldnâÂÂt hear of it!
We chose a week in January when our kids had 2 days off of school. We got good airfare from Dulles Airport and made ressies for All Star Movies. WeâÂÂd stayed in Music 2 years ago, and wanted to try Movies.
Our plane wasnâÂÂt scheduled to arrive until 4 pm on a Saturday, so there was some question about what to do that first night. I made PSâÂÂs at the Villains Character Dinner, but I wanted to see MSEP badly. I realized weâÂÂd need an extra day on the park hopper passes, basically just to see that parade. When I heard that MSEP would be gone in March, I decided to go for it. I purchased 6-day park hoppers before the price increase in Jan. IâÂÂd planned to do MSEP on Saturday night, plus 5 additional days in Disney parks, along with one day in Universal.
Our flight was without incident. We arrived ý hour late, got picked up by a wonderful Tiffany Towncar driver, and didnâÂÂt check in ASMo until 6 p.m. The lines were pretty long, but moved quickly. We got the building we requested â Toy Story, first floor â yea!! â had our bags delivered, got our coats and gloves, and left for MK at 6:30 p.m.!
We arrived at the end of the 6:30 p.m. MSEP, and headed to Tomorrowland. MK was packed as I thought it would be. We grabbed some fast food, and checked out ride waits, which were pretty long. We rode the TTA and decided to do Alien Encounter. My 9 yo DD loved it, but the 6 yo DD cried the whole time. We finished at 8:15 and walked toward Main Street. There was open curb on the âÂÂcircleâ in from the CindyâÂÂs Castle, which we grabbed.
We adored the MSEP! It was everything we hoped and more! The kids loved it! Cinderella blew kisses to our younger daughter. Alice made eye contact with us. We took lots of pictures and even the baby, who was in a back carrier, loved it! It was cold though!
We caught the bus back without much wait, and went home, unpacked and crashed. Our driver, âÂÂBobâ was one of the funniest parts of the trip, according to my 9 yo DD. He made a long trip feel short!
