Abused Children in NJ

I don't know if this is national news or just in our area, but those 4 boys that were abused in South Jersey are just making me so sad. They put a picture of the family on the cover of the NY post and those 4 boys faces haunted me all night. I don't know how other people feel, but I think these parents should spend the rest of their lives in jail, having to naw on the wall for sustenance.

I just wanted to vent because the whole situation is making me sick. I can't believe what some people do.

It's horrible what happened. There are so many people that let those boys down. Of course, the parents take the most blame. I just don't know how anyone could be so cruel . I really hope there are also charges brought against the case workers & supervisors involved.

This is not the first time DYFS has failed children in New Jersey.

This is very disturbing............I am glad to hear that they are going to hold the case workers accountable. I just don't understand why stuff like this happens. These people are monsters and deserve to rott in prison........

A question I have which I haven't seen answered is "How old is that photograph?". I was wondering if that was recent or quite a few years old. I just can't believe that the boy in that picture is 19 years old (or even 17 or 18 for that matter). I also can't believe that if he DOES look like that at 19 that nobody noticed. Didn't these children go to school? Didn't they go to doctors appointments? They obviously went to church, were the church members blind? A 19 year old boy weighing less than my 6 year old daughter (who is pretty skinny) HAS to be something that people notice! I just don't get it.

Exactly.............the article said that she home schooled the kids...........but it also said that they did go to church, so why would no one notice. Maybe just the mom, dad and the children *they had something to do with* went to church???????? The article also said the case worker made regular visits to the home........why did this go unnoticed/unreported??? I too have a 5 year old niece that weighs about the same (42 lbs) as this poor 19 year old boy (45 lbs)??????? This just makes me sick to my stomach..........

What's sick is that this photograph was taken THREE weeks ago! Isn't that ridiculous? The parents said that all of the boys either suffered from Fetal Alcohol Syndrome or eating disorders. Makes me mad that the caseworkers never picked up on this. Makes me mad to pay taxes to this state and see where my money is going. To some incompenten workers.
