It seems like everytime I visit the World I come home with the same shots. To be honest I almost left my camera at home on Sunday, but I took it with me so there would be no chance of kicking myself later for not doing so. My camera stayed in the bag for the first hour as I did not feel inspired by anything. About halfway through The Seas with Nemo I decided to do something completely different. I decided to shoot some long exposures. I just dialed in a long shutter and clicked away bracing the camera against my chest. This was a fun experiment and I am really happy with some of the resulting images. This is something I will definatly do in the near future the next time I find myself in a non-creative rut.

Thanks for posting those. My WDW photos are kind of stuck in a rut too. They all look the same. So, I'm looking for inspriation for our trip later this fall.

I really like these a lot! My favorites are from SSE and the ride in Mexico.

I haven't even been to The World yet with my dSLR, but I'm already feeling like I'm going to be stuck in a rut. I look at so many photos here on the boards and on FlickR, etc. that I just wonder if it's possible to actually get a picture of something new and interesting. Like, why bother coming home and posting a photo-TR filled with the same old stuff that has been shot and posted 200x times already?

I'll definitely have to keep long hand-held exposures in mind for this trip. I did a couple with some tulips earlier this year where I spun my camera in a circle as it dangled above the flowerbed and it looked pretty cool if I do say so myself. I did, however, steal the idea from one of Bryan Peterson's books---so I can't take credit for it.

I was really hoping you had forgotten all about that by now! I guess I have it coming to me though, after all the I left on your TR thread.

I know how you feel about running out of ideas of how to shoot something at Disney. I go there A LOT, and have thousands of pics. But I always take my camera; cause you never know when the creativity will kick in. You'll be somewhere sometimes, and see something from an interesting angle.... and maybe with great lighting (gotta love sunsets)... and KNOW it'll make a great picture. And it sucks to not be able to take advantage of that opportunity.

But like you did with the long exposure shots.... just think outside the box. Also, don't be too proud to look at other people's pictures (i'm a fan of Flickr myself); and just get an idea on different angles or techniques to use.
