Absorbency of disposable training pants?

My daughter is about 40 inches tall and just turned 3, so nighttime pull-ups don't fit her anymore and we had to move to goodnights. I love them. The sides are soft and stretchy. You can also tear the sides pretty easy since they don't have the Velcro like regular pull-ups. Of course that's only for removal.

We had issues with regular pull-ups not holding enough if we went to dinner, so nighttime ones were good while she fit in them.

Also, the baby care center at least at MK really does rock. There's the room with the changing tables which are quite large and then there's a room with I think 2 adult stalls in it which would maybe be a good spot for changing your boys with a bit more privacy.

For what it's worth, the rapunzel bathrooms had more of the countertops for changing rather than the fold down things (I can't tell you how many of those fold down things I thought my giant was going to break).

Also, if you do need to lay them down at all, I love the arm and hammer munchkin disposable changing pads. My kiddo is all torso and those were wonderful to keep her nice and clean. Those are the best price on amazon. I think they're multiple dollars more per box at target.

Best of luck!! I'm sure you'll find something that works and I hope you have a wonderful trip.

I used Pull ups when dd was 2 years 3 months for a trip(that was also a move that ended up temporary) they held up fine. Best part is changing in stall nobody can give a look so much. But its really nobodies business. Some kids train later. Its not a one age fits all. DD was finally trained at 2 years 9 months when I took pull ups away during the day and dealt with accidents for a week or two. One week with both pee/bm and then a 2nd week with bms and I bribed on that one and she was done by end of the week. 4 before she was night dry consistently.

DS3 is about the same size as your boys--42 inches tall, 37 pounds. We use Huggies Pull-Ups size 4T with Learning Designs. He has some of their Overnight ones and they do hold a good amount of liquid, but some times they are too stiff and he pulls so the sides give. I put a pair of regular underpants over them at night. Just got the Cool Feel and they are not absorbent.

I used the Walmart brand diapers and then went to their training pants...very thin. And out the door they went. But the side tapes held up.

Pampers trainers are pretty good. Just had the "diaper scent."

As you are picking them up, watch the sizes. I learned that 3T-4T in one brand is not the same in another. Huggies tends to be closest to his regular clothes size. I also made an error--I grabbed some overnights that were 35 pounds, but they were designed for the school age kids. TOO BIG, but again, I just folded the sides and had some regular briefs to hold them in place.

The child care center at Magic Kingdom has large changing tables. DS thought it was a bed! And a restroom with stalls right next to it.

We used the companion restroom. No, they didn't have changing tables, but we wheeled in the stroller, DH on the ECV and myself to close the door. And then were able to take care of all the business that needed and had room so no shoes fell in the toilet. I stood outside so if DS unlocked the door, no one was coming in.

Have you asked your doctor about special products that you can buy from a medical supplier? I used to work with severely special needs kids and there are TONS of different types of diapers that can do all sorts of wonderful things. They have rip lines in every place imaginable to accommodate tubes and such as well as varying absorbencies without adding bulk. If your boys are just late to the potty training game, then thats probably not worth it, but if you will be changing diapers for some time, it might be worth a call to the doc to get a catalog.

I hope we aren't doing diapers for too much longer. I feel like they are close to being ready. We are also good for diapers and don't need any specialty products. Size 5 seems to work well so we have a while before they grow out. They can still wear a size 4. I was just looking for something for the trip.

So far I have bought the pull ups for nights, am gong to try again for the huggies slip ons (it's been a while since we tried but I don't have high hopes). I will also order the liners too. Thanks for all the suggestions. Oh, and we also decided that my DH will have to step it up and handle the majority of the changes. His idea as he said that men could care less about what size kid you are changing on the changing table and since they have tables in all the men's restrooms at wdw, that will likely help a lot.

The night time pull ups are more absorbent than the regular ones. They are thick like a regular diaper.

This was my suggestion as well. Overnights are much more absorbent and you can slip them on and off easily in a stall.

I'm sorry you have encountered rude comments about your children. People should stop and think before speaking because you don't always know someone's personal situation. My YDS will be 4yo in Dec and I'm desperately trying to potty train him before preschool starts in mid-Aug. I lost my mom last April and potty training was the last thing on my mind until this spring. My YDS has been extremely resistant as a result of starting later and is just now willing to use a potty (and yes I've tried every technique out there). I trained my first two toddlers (both new 3yos) in about 4 days at the same time so I get VERY tired of the looks I get changing my YDS from time to time, and unwanted advice.

We have 2 special needs kids and the overnight diapers are the way to go.
