? about World Showcase

Just back from WDW andf I noticed the night I went to the Candlelight Processional...there is something built behind a "closed wall" along the World Showcase. I couldnt figure out or see what it is...but noticed people being allowed in thru the "doorway." They had a guard posted at the door and I overheard him telling someone who tried to enter that it was a "private party."

Could someone tell me what this is? From the pathway along World Showcase, it looks like a new country....but I think I would have read something about it. I'm sorry but I don't remember exactly where it was...but I do know if you are travelling up the right side of WS, from Britain to the US exhibit, it's along that stretch there.

That's World Showplace. It was the "Millennium Village" during the Millennium celebration in 2000-2001. Now it's a convention and private party venue.

Thank you! I had never heard of it....after the millenium celebration.
