About what time do the crowds start thining out at AK on thier EE day?

On my itinerary I've left AK for the day that we switch resorts from BCV to AK, that happens to be on a Friday which is AK EE day. I've never been to AK on thier EE day but I understand that AK gets really packed. Am I understanding that correctly?

I'd like to be able to check in early at AKL and then go to AK but I'm afraid of arriving so late it will be mobbed. About what time would all those EE folks be leaving you think?

Depends on the time of year you are going. If the park closes at 6, you will be lucky to get more than 2 hours with small crowds, from around 4 (IF you avoid the parade) to closing. If you are going when it is busy, I think that 4 to 8 will be a pretty good time due to the mass exodus after the parade That's when I'm going . Planning to arrive around 3, get to the non-parade part of the park, do the stuff there, then hit the other major attractions after the parade is over. Depending on show times, we may start with a show then ride as an alternative- will 'get a feel' for what option to take once we arrive.
