? about using an EXPEDIA rate...HELP!

There's a long story attached to this but the the bottom line is this. I booked the Dolphin around July 12, using the ALLEARS code, for 9 nights, departing 12/25. Called back the next day to add 3 more nights, as our plans were in the midst of changing. Was told rate from 12/25, 26 and 27 would jump to 269...ouch! but needed to have a room so booked it. My written confirmation letter arrived 2 days later, showing only the dates of 12/16-12/25, at 149 RATE. o.k., called back to request conf. letter showing remaining 3 nights and was told rate was 169! I TRIPLE checked the rate, called several times and was told each time, yes 169 is the rate. Now today I call as we may not arrive anywhere from the 18th to the 23rd, just checking what I need to do etc., and I was told that I will lose my EXPEDIA rate after Xmas, back up to 269...I said, what expedia rate, I booked under ALLEARS, not expedia!After a confusing call, and wondering why my rate should change AT ALL, as we are going to be checking in by the 23rd, should not affect anything as we are already booked and confirmed...Agent put a note in our ressies saying later arrival expected, rate is to remain the same. O.K., fine with that...but now I am freaking out over the EXPEDIA thing! I have never used them or booked w/them. I asked if I need any special ID, emeber card etc., and was told no...but I am not feeling very sure of anything I was told right now!

Do you have the $149/$169 rate for all the nights you need listed in your confirmation letter? If not, I would print off the page from Allears giving the lower rate. Also bring documentation of your phone conversations about the lower rate--who you spoke with, on what dates, and at what times. The check in staff at the Dolphin is very nice, and you will probably not have any problems. If there is, ask to speak with a manager.

Still waiting for the 2nd confirmation letter to arrive in snailmail....I have one showing nights up to the 25th for the 149 rate, but need to other showing the 169.
But can anyone help explain the EXPEDIA part to me?
