I noticed that the UPHs (on disneyworld.com) are listed by # of nights rather than days and nights. Last year when I went, after checkout we really only had enough time to wait for our bus to the airport, so we never got to use our last day. I was thinking that if our flight times were early we could just get UPHs for 1 less day, but I'm confused by the whole "nights" thing. We'll be staying at Pop from Nov. 13 to 20th (technically 7 nights and 8 days, but we'll probably only need 7 nights and days). I looked at UPHs for the 13th to the 19th and they're listed as 6 night passes. Does this mean we could only use them for six days (i.e., the 13th through 18th)? Or does 6 nights mean 7 days, so we could still use them on the 19th??

Sorry if this post is confusing, I was having some trouble wording my question :(

The UPH is good for admission from the day of checkin until midnight of the day you checkout of your resort. If you purchase them in advance (which gives you a little discount), you have to purchase the passes for the full length of your stay.

If you purchase the passes at checkin, you have to option to drop the first or last night of your stay (but not both). For your situation, it would probably make sense to wait until checkin, and drop the last night due to your early departure.

EXCEPT- UPH are Only good for the stay.

And the Park hoppers are good forever. So if you use 4 days, of 7 you still have 3 days for your next trip. Plus you get the buy early discount. look at Ticket Mania.

You can also make a separate room only reservation. You can book your resort from 11/13-11/19 and buy UPH passes for those days. Then make a separate room only reservation for 11/20 and you won't have to worry about wasting a day if you're checking out early. You'll be able to take advantage of the advance purchase discount this way too. We made similar arrangements.

If you do your reservations in two separate entries, ie. one for nights 1-4 and another reservation for night 5, will they try to move you after night 4 or are these reservations linked upon check in? (this may be a dumb question, but who knows?)

U can have them linked .... when u arrive....

I did think about getting PHPs. We'll probably go to PI at least 3 nights if not more, we want to do at least 1 of the water parks, and we'd like to go to DQ at least once, so the UPHs will probably be the best value for us. Making a separate reservation for the last night didn't even occur to me (that's a great idea). Our room reservations are already made, but I suppose I could change them. Thank you for the replies :)

The dates will now most likely have to be changed to the 12th to the 19th of November and we'll be able to use all the days. However, we've now decided to add 2 days, and spend them @ Universal. We still want to stay @ PC for those extra 2 days though. So now we need to cut off 2 days instead of 1. (deep breath) Ok, so here's my question - If we make 2 separate reservations, 1 for the 12th to the 19th with UPHs, and room only for the 20th & 21st, will we need to check out on the 20th and then check back in again? Sorry if this sounds stupid I'm just really confused.

I called and asked about this last week, haven't tried it before. The CM (very nice, BTW) said that you do have to go down to the desk and check out and check back in but they do their best to keep you in the same room so you don't have to switch.

Good luck!

Steph

If I make reservations for the 12th to the 19th, and reservations for the 19th to the 22nd, will I be paying twice for the 19th?

No because your first reservation includes the night of the 18th and you check out the morning of the 19th.

Your second one starts on the night of the 19th. No double payment for the room.

We did that last year....room only rate for the first and last night, we checked in and out three times, but didn't have to leave the room for another. This year we got room only and then the Dreammaker package and room only for the last night as well. So we will be doing the same thing again.
