I know a lot about WDW and discounts but nothing about universal...are there discounts for Universal? Is ther a value season? Any help would be great we are think about a trip there next April.

really depends on when in April - closer to the springbreak/easter times the rates & the crowds tend to go up - value is more the summer months.

hth :)

Are you sure you didn't mean the winter months? Summer is very, very busy.

The fall and winter months are pretty slow. Ticket prices don't go down in the fall and winter but hotel rates usually do.

Universal offers much better discounts than Disney. As far as value season goes, like Phamton said, fall and winter are usually the best times to go since you don't have the crowds or humidity to deal with.

You can get a deal online @ universalstudios.com in which you pay for 3 days and u GET 5 days! they MUST be cosecutive days and u CAN park hop! This in as internet ONLY deal...also we have an ENTERTAINMENT card and stayed across from universal at the Holiday Inn Maingate suites ( full kitchen, 1 closed bedroom with 2 full beds & couch with pull-out full bed) foe about 90$ a night..The hotel provided shuttles to & from the parks. & a TGI fridays where kid ate FREE..

WOW!!! That sounds like a great deal you save on the kids dinner and on the parking (although we have annual passes so we don't pay parking. We are planing to go back in Nov so I'm going to have to look into that. My DH ::MickeyMo wants to stay @ RP (must confess so do I) but maybe staying offsite maybe $$ worth it. Does the Holiday Inn Maingate have a website? My DS:earsboy: will be 12 by the time we go back and my DD princess: will be 8 can they still eat free? Also do you have to stay @ the Holiday Inn to get kids eat free or is that open to the public?

I think the kids eat free at HI is a chain wide perk and it is for kids 12 and under.

You could search Holiday Inn on the web. Look for the one on Kirkman Rd. The kids eat free is a Holiday Inn promo for the Fridays Rest. that adjoins the hotel and is offered only if you are a guest of the hotel.Hope that helps.
