About to priceline a hotel near Universal for 1 night...any tips?

We need a room for our arrival day (March 18th) for just one night before checking in to RPH on the 19th. We'd like to be as close as possible to Universal as we plan to check in early on the 19th to get to FOTL and access to WWoHP at 8am. We'd like to have a pool if possible. Can anyone give me any tips on what to request on priceline? TIA

Priceline/Hotwire prices don't seem to be a very good value. You can get a better price with AAA.

I'm surprised to hear this. We don't have AAA so I guess I'll just see what I can find.
