Just a little heads up. My kids had them for the Fourth and somehow my DD7's split open. The package claims it's non-toxic but it sure did smell toxic! It also will stain clothing and teddys and anything else in it's path. We bought ours from Walmart and she wasn't rough housing with it. Just was concerned about babies and toddlers with them. I didn't realize they were that fragile!

Were those the tiny ones, smaller than a pencil or the thicker ones? Thanks for the "heads up!"

They were the thicker ones. And kind of "DIS green" in color.

Well, bummer! Those are the kind we buy. Have to keep an eye on them!

A great alternative that we use and just recently used on the 4th are InstaLytes. http://www.instalyte.com/

They last for several days and are submersible----we just threw them in DGS drink and then he took it out and played with it.

Parents beware: When my son was two he bit into a glow stick and it blistered the inside of his mouth. It looked like little ulcers. I immediately called the poison control center and they informed me that the fluid inside is non-toxic but WILL cause mouth blisters, which were very uncomfortable. They should be required to have some type of warning label since they target very young children as they are exiting all amusement parks, not just Disney.
