?? about the sims

I was wondering if someone could help me. I was looking at 'The Sims Resource" at the skins, and I found some clothes I really wanted. But, I must be pretty dense, because I don't really get the directions on the website, and it won't show up on the game. Just wondering if anyone can help me without it? TIA
