Do the carriage rides at POR fill up quickly? I am wondering if i need to make an advanced resi or if a walk up would be possible? I hate to book not knowing what our night schedule will be yet, but i dont want to miss it either. Thanks! PS...How is it?

I had no trouble booking it last Nov. pretty close to our dates, but I think it depends on when you are going. It was pretty slow when we were there - last full week before Thanksgiving

Who do you call for the PS? I can't imagine it's through Disney Dining, but that's the only number I can think of for a PS. How far out can you make your reservation?

I believe you use the number for Disney recreation for the reservation. The phone number is 407 939-7529. The other option is to call for your room at your a WDW resort by using the recreation feature.

Yes, you can walk up and get a carriage ride depending on the night. People do cancel or don't show up. We didn't have a problem getting a reservation the week of Thanksgiving last year. We called the day before we wanted to go. We were staying at the FQ so we got there early to check thing out. We went a half an hour earlier than our reservation as it would be easier for her to get a walk up reservation at the time were suppose to go. She had a walk up right after us.

Hope this helps.

DH & I will be staying at POFQ this Nov. and have talked about doing the carriage ride. We did the sleigh ride a couple of years ago at the WL and enjoyed that. Is the carriage ride based at POR or POFQ?

Well, after looking at the list of us Dis'ers going in October, I'm making a PS!!

(where's the evil icon??!! the one with the teeth grinning?) :rolleyes1

You get the carriage ride over at the marina at POR. You can choose between POR or POFQ to go around. We opted to take the drivers advise and took the ride around POR since we were staying at POFQ.

It's $30 for a 30 minute carriage ride. We did tip the carriage driver. You have two payment options. The driver of the carriage accepts cash or you can have it charged to your room. Just thought I would share that with everyone.

The carriage can fit four adults comfortably or two adults and three children. We had four adults and our three year old when we did it. It worked out just fine.

We will be enjoying the carriage ride again when we return in October! Looks like we better make a PS again, too! ;)

My DD and I did the carriage ride last May. Our driver noted to us that "they were making more people mad than happy" because of the fact it was very seldom that someone could walk up and get a carriage ride.

If you could get a "loose" schedule, I would make the PS if it was something I had my heart set on!!!

oh...btw.....it was Fun!!!!
