After just reading a thread on the Resorts board about gators in and around Disney property, I thought I would post a question about the gator that resides at AK in the 'way too small' (my kids' words! :) pond in Dinoland. Anybody know why Disney would have such a magnificent animal in such a ridiculously small area?

For 3 years now, we go and see if he's still there. First time we saw him we were all debating whether he was real or not. I couldn't (and still can't) believe that Disney can get away with having him in such a confined area.

Can anyone enlighten me?

A boat driver we had last year said that if Aligators were seen in Disney, they take them to Animal Kingdom so they can teach them to read the signs that Alligators Stay Out.

He was making jokes.

I have a pic of a gator, I came across it last night.
