If we book our 3 FP+'s per day, online, are we still going to be able to utilize the paper FP ticket kiosks to get others during the day?
Or.....are we only going to be allowed the 3 we booked ahead of time?

Trying to figure this whole FP+ thing out. ;)

Paper FPs have gone away in AK and MK. They're expected to be discontinued at Epcot and DHS shortly.

No, 3 FP+ a day at one park only is all you get.

Paper fastpasses are gone from AK and MK, Epcot and DHS are expected to follow this month.

We'll, gosh, that really stinks! : I wish I had known that before I purchased our APs! I wouldn't have gotten them! What is the point of a park hopper now if you can only get FPs in one park?! Are they planning on allowing the 3 to be spread out amongst different parks?! Because if not....then that really sucks!

Nobody knows what will happen in the future. People have speculated but it's nothing more than theories, nothing has been said by Disney.

It does really suck, especially if you're using your FP+ at one of the parks with essentially one useful FP.

Is the MK new this week because we just got back on Sunday and we were able to use both at MK, epcot, and HS. It was really nice having both especially at Magic Kindom.

Nobody knows what they are planning except for Disney. Come to think of it, I'm not sure even they know what the final permutation of this is going to look like. Once it is fully rolled out they may make some tweaks to the system, but there is no way to know what those tweaks might be.

For the foreseeable future, I wouldn't count on being able to ever again get more than 3 per day at a single park.

...so can day visitors not staying at a Disney resort get FP+? Just wondering, because I will be at the parks for 1 day in March, staying with family, and the 60 day FP+ window will be coming up shortly...

Yes, but as of right now you cannot book them in advance.

It is very likely that by March all parks will be FP+ only, as of today MK and AK are. Currently for offsite guests that means you will book all 3 of your FP+ at once at a kiosk once you've entered the park.

Right now if you are not staying at a Disney resort, you cannot get your FP+s until you arrive at the park. You go to a kiosk to book them. I wish I could do it from my phone, even if I couldn't do it until I arrived, but they are making you go to the kiosks to book. Hopefully it will all work out. :confused3

Wow, have to go to a kiosk-no phone? I hope that's one of the things that gets tweaked::yes::

Do offsite guests get a magic band?

Not yet.

There will be some testing this month and it has always been mentioned that off-site guests can (eventually) purchase a MB.
But, again, not yet.

How do they use FPP at ride without magic band if paper FP is eliminated?

RFID tickets.

All current tickets contain an RFID chip.
The chip facilitates access to guests' MyDisneyExperience files, the same
files accessed by a MagicBand.

Hmmm ...well can I do that with my UT RFID tics even though we'll have magic bands? We leave in 4 days.

Yes. You can use the RFID tickets instead of MagicBands.

But, since they all access the same file of info, you won't
be able to get any "extra" FP+.

I believe that Disney will start selling additional FP+ reservations by tier for a fee. That way you can have as many additional FP+ reservations as you would like. Disney is simply removing the "all you can eat" buffet style of ticketing that was FP- for the new digital "a la carte" ticketing system that is FP+. Ride limits and tiers are the perfect scenario to generate demand for additional FP+ sales, and Disney is, after all, a corporation driven by profit and shareholders. I don't think it will be long now, as everything else has been put into motion.
