? about Teppan Edo dinner while on basic DDP?

We've never eaten dinner at Teppan Edo, and I thought my mom would enjoy trying this when we go on her "birthday vacation" in August. We will be on the basic DDP (1S, 1CS, 1 TS per day) and I was wondering how this TS will work -- since you get an entree and dessert on this plan does that mean you just get basically a piece of meat and a dessert??? I know there are vegetables, rice etc. that would normally be a part of this meal

No, you don't get a piece of meat - they cube the meat and grill it, and you get udon noodles and vegetables grilled with it. Plus steamed rice (no fried rice). There's plenty of food even without the appetizer. The appetizer isn't included in the basic dining plan (soup or salad isn't covered; it is by the deluxe plan) but you can purchase one if you like.
