? about SWA travel funds

I have $130 travel funds that will expire in Aug. I want to use the funds for DD and I to fly to WDW in Oct ( DH and 5 teens will drive ). I know I can extend the funds and that will cost $50 which will leave me with $80 credit.

My question is can I book air for Oct.( if I get a ding ) using the $130 travel funds or will I have to wait till they expire, pay the $50, and book air for Oct. with the extension funds?

Has anyone ever traded Travel funds with someone so both people can use the funds within there expire time and not have to pay the $50 ?

you cannot book Oct travel with credits that expire in Aug. You must first get the extention, which you can't do until 1 week prior to expiration, and then book the flight. I tried 20 ways to Sunday last year but couldn't find a way around it.

Thank you so much. I think I will be OK as my TTF expire first of Aug and I don't expect a ding for Oct. till end of Aug or Sept for air in Oct.

I just did this in April. Southwest made me wait until the day after the credits expired. I then had to wait until they "processed" the request. I was told it would take 7-10 days. At about day 7, I called and complained and they pushed it right through. They will then send you an email with a new confirmation code to use when booking.
