Ok...I need some info about Splash Mt.. How tall is the drop? How steep is the drop? Is it straight up and down? I am really wanting to go on it...but need some visuals to help me prepare for the drop. Please.....any pics from the side will also help. :sad2:

I never understand why people are always so worried about Splash Mountain. It's a fifteen minute leisurley boat ride with a drop that lasts about two seconds. I think you'll live.

It's not as bad as it looks. Just scream real loud on the way down, it really really helps! Oh, I think I read once the drop is a 45 degree angle. I hope I remember that right.

I really don't like rollar coasters or drops...but I go on Splash Mountain. The drop goes by so quickly....you will be fine. :thumbsup2

The drop is 5 stories but it doesn't feel like it because it happens so fast. The entire ride inside is well worth it. I hate steep drops and won't even go on Nitro at Great Adventure here in NJ because that drop just terrifies me, but Splash Mountain's drop is nothing.

Splash Mountain is my favorite attraction in all of WDW.

To the DemonLlama, thanks for the video. I watched it twice.

Same here. I am a huge chicken, but I go on Splash Mountain.

Some people have a problem and concerns with some things in life. Do you have ANY, TZ; or are you troublefree??

<br> I LOVE Splash Mountain, It's actually quite tame in my opinion. The drop goes by so quickly you barely notice how far and fast your falling. Also it's not even close to how scary it seems and looks!

From a Splash Mountain chicken - I can ride it, but I usually close my eyes at the top of the drop and count to six. By then, the drop is over.

even though I have gone on Splash Mt. five or so times.....it is not one of my favorites. I think its because I lift out of my seat . My husband will go on it sometimes by himself and I wait at the end. He can do it very casually with his arm across the back of the seat looking like he doesnt give a care..
If we all had to do the same rides as everyone else LOVES then we would have to wait even longer for the rides

If you don't want to be lifted completely out of your seat, I would recommend lifting your knees up against the little handle bars in the inside of the car. They are kind of low anyway, but this will give you a little extra support. I did this because I held my hands up during the fall. It just gave me a little more sense of security. Have fun!! Splash is lots of fun!!

My children couldn't wait until they were tall enough to ride and then they were totally freaked out by the drop. My 13 year old still doesn't like to ride, but my 10 year old is willing. We have always said that it is such a nice ride for small children. We wonder why they never made a seperate exit without such a major drop for the little ones to enjoy.

I've only been on Splash once, and that was at DL, and that was about 10 years ago. My younger kids are now 5 and 7 and they want to go on Splash on our next trip in Sept.

The drop at the end looks alot scarier than it really is. It is a big drop. But not too bad. The drop at the end is so worth it to experience the ride.

The way I got my kids (who are the biggest chickens) to want to go on Splash is to play the Laughing Place song over and over. So, now they know all the words and they want to ride the ride.

You will love it!! :) :)
