Just wondering if this is enough $ for our upcoming trip. We're staying 8 nights splitting our stay between the AKL & WL. Just my DH, our DS (21 months) & myself. We're not big big spenders. Just would like to buy a few t-shirts, some of the pix at the parks & a few sit down meals at the resorts & the parks. So far I'm budgeting between $1,000 to $1,100 & not including that I have a $250 credit due me at the resort. The room is paid in full & we have AP's so everything else is covered. Is this enough ? Just want to feel we can do what we want & not have to worry about $.

Before our trip I became obsessive about wanting to make sure we had enough money. So, I went as far as to plan restraunts and even guess what we would order (I know, crazy! ) Also, we budgeted a certain amount for each person for souvies.

We had plenty of money and we got everything we wanted AND I had the added bonus of feeling confident and relaxed about money. You can get menus at allearsnet.com

I budget $150 a day for our family (me, DH, DS6, DD2). We always have one sit down meal a day - either a breakfast or dinner, and also plan for souvenirs, groceries, etc. Some days we don't come close to the $150, but then if we go to Hoop Dee Doo, or something like that, then we are over the $150 for the day. I'd rather have money left at the end of the week then be in a deficit, so the $150 mark works for us.

There is a meal planner on the Internet that will figure your meals including tip that we also use each year. Can't remember the site off the top of my head. (I have it in my favorites at work...) It has been great for us. Even has a place for your PS numbers, and tells you when to call for your PS's if you plan to call on the first available day.

I'm in the same situation as you......just want to be sure we have enough money :) Guess when you go to see the mouse you can never have too much!!

Personally, I plan a $100 per person, per day. (My boys are growing so fast now. Their eating more and shopping more.) That way your covered for just about anything and whatever is left when you get home you get to put towards your next Disney trip!

I usually plan on $100 a day per person and that usually ends up covering table service meals, souvies, and tickets to things like Cirque. Some days we probably only spend $30 or $40 so $100 usually works out to be a nice average.
