? about Soarin (spoiler)

We just got back from DL. I fell in love with Soarin. We didn't get to go on it in WDW last year. I know it's Soarin over California, but I was just wondering if the last scene in the one at EPCOT shows MK or DL.

The ride opened in February 2001 so I would imagine Christmas of 1999 is when it was filmed. Possibly 1998.

Also a little bit of fun trivia:

There is a Hidden Mickey on the golf ball, which is coincidentally launched by former Disney CEO Michael Eisner, reportedly a big fan of golf.

Another way to tell it's DL: you can see parts of California Adventure in the backround.

Actually the attraction at DL is called Soarin' Over California - the attraction at our World is just called Soarin'... No offense, but if I rode the DL version and had never rode the WDW version, I would wonder the same thing...

But to OP - yes, the rides are identical. Same ride system, vehicles, film, just different name... Hopefully we'll get Soarin' Over the World soon enough though...

Yeah, Florida isn't quite as geographically diverse as - say - California. I don't know how they could go wrong with Soarin' Over the World - as in the entire world - not just Disney World... I think that would be AWESOME. They could even somehow showcase the three non-USA Disney Parks (Tokyo, Hong Kong, Paris)...

I think the biggest obstacle for creating Soarin' Over the World would be keeping it at an *American short attention span* length - no longer than say 12 minutes or so.
