When I made our PS a month ago, they only had the option of 2 separate cars to seat the 5 of us. When we show up, what are our chances of getting one car together or do I need to keep calling & get another ressie instead? I don't mind eating separate from the kids but I'm pretty sure their car mates wouldn't be thrilled!

Things are constantly changing at a restaurant. There is a possibility that hey may in fact have a whole car for you, but I would keep calling to see if you can get a reso just in case.

If you're willing to wait alittle while for table...err...car, then let them know when you check in.

We had a party of 6 last week and got our PS 90 days out. We did end up sitting all in the same car, but they weren't certain we would be able to when we originally called. So, as mentioned above, I think if you're willing to wait a bit longer when you get to the meal, they should be able to set up a single car for you. We ended up waiting about a half hour past our PS, which wasn't too bad as it was prime lunch time.

I also want to mention, I've read a ton of bad reviews of Sci-Fi on this board but we went anyway:p And we *loved* it. I did tell everyone to stick to burgers/shakes/onion rings, so we didn't get anything unusual. My mom and sister got chili and thought it was very good. The rest of us got the burgers and they were very tasty. DH was really happy with his, and he is officially 'Mr. Picky', he loved the crusty outside on his patty and the grilled bun. He even wrote it on the comment card and he never does things like that. The shakes were okay, but reminded me too much of McDonalds shakes so I would probably skip that next time. My family just loved the atmosphere too. Sorry, just had to put this little 'review' in as I see it's your first trip coming up!

I have a PS for the Sci-Fi in Nov. and when I made the PS they told me that I had to request a "car" at the podium. Does that sound right to all of you? Or should a "car" request be noted on my PS?

Thanks.

Thanks for the info! I think I'll make sure I have some little snacks on hand for the kids & wait it out if needed.

ChesireKate - I love to hear reviews! I've seen the so-so reviews on it too but plan to eat the favs. Glad to hear you enjoyed it! I think the kids will get a kick out of it & we love burgers.
