Is there anyway to edit a design that is on a Cricut cartridge using SCAL? Thanks!

The short answer is no, not directly.

The long answer is yes.
If you own the cart, You can cut out the image from the cart in a dark color, Scan it in to a jpg, and then import the jpg to trace. then alter the image as you want.

That's what I was afraid of. Can you edit the designs on the cartridges with Cricuts software? Take part of a design from one and add to another???

For the most part Design studio will let you change and combine images.
