? about ressies & AAA

Hi, I called today to try and get AAA discount and was told that since I made my ressies thru WDW travel instead of CR that they couldn't apply a AAA discount. The CM said she could cancel and rebook thru CR but I would lose my travel insurance. I called the same number both times, how did I get two areas?? I have a room only ressie. Is this accurate or should I call back and talk to someone else? Thanks in advance!!!!

sounds like you booked a basic package, instead of room only reservation. Insurance is not available on room only reservations, only on packages. If you requested or said yes to insurance then you got a basic package.

a basic package is
Accommodations at a selected Disney Resort
Your choice of one of the following:
Admission to Disney's Wide World of Sports® Complex (valid only on event days, some events require special admission), or
One round of Walt Disney World miniature golf (not available after 5 p.m. on certain dates)

packages have a cancellation requirement of 45 days prior to arrival (packages must be paid in full by 45 days prior to arrival , has a $200.00 initial deposit , but travel insurance is not refundale ) and room only reservations is 5 day cancellation policy.( one nights deposit of room rate plus tax and balance due at check in)
