About Resort 'Package' Passes : Day Early?

I'm in a bit of a unique situation. Originally we wanted to book our hotel from May 28 to June 02 and depart the evening of June 02. We couldn't arrange that because of 'sell out' situations at the value resorts on the evening of the 28th.

So instead, we got May 29 to June 03.. with a plan to depart the morning of the 03rd.

However, we will still be arriving in Orlando mid-day on the 28th. Initially our plan is to stay off-site for the first night and then move to the resorts.

Now here's my question. Can we go to the resorts on the 28th and get cards set up with our park passes (6 day passes) and start using them on the Sunday? Or do we have to wait for check-in on Monday?

You have to wait until check-in a.m. to get your room keys with passes and charge privileges on them, but you can buy your passes on the 28th any park or on the internet ahead of time and use them on the 28th. Then, on the 29th, you can have the passes put on the room key.

For separately purchased passes only, not the passes required to be ordered as part of a package with free dining or water park fun etc.

You will have to resort to the time honored tradition of ordering one day basic passes with your package for future use and buying separate 10 day non-expiring or (in your case perhaps) 6 day expiring passes in advance.

You could also call back periodically to see if resort occupancy changes and if you could modify your reservation to include the 28'th without paying a surcharge.

Great tips.. but given that our passes are already ordered with our package and some of the people I'm travelling with want to see Citywalk/Universal .. maybe we'll just head over there on Sunday
