I have 2 flights booked with Southwest with Early bird check-in...If i find a cheaper flight and re-book for the same time/day does my early bird check in carry over to those new flights flights or do i need to pay again??

Your EB carries over to the new reservation, I just changed my March reservations yesterday to get a cheaper price on my flight and it was fine. EB still there that I paid for. The only time you lose your EB is if you cancel your reservation all together, making changes to your flights is fine!!! We have done this before without any problems at all!

Your EBCI is tied to your reservation confirmation number. As long as that doesn't change, your EBCI will carry over. So you will be OK provided that you modify your existing reservation. Do not cancel and book a new reservation because that will change your reservation number.

Don't cancel and rebook your flight. Just change your existing reservation. As stated, your EBCI is tied to your confirmation number. If your confirmation number gets canceled, so does your EBCI.

As everybody has already said, as long as you modify your itinerary rather than cancel and rebook then you'll keep your EBCI.

If you're trying to take advantage of a DING fare then that does mean cancelling and rebooking so you'll lose your EBCI in this case but other types of fare changes should be able to be done by simple modifications rather than cancels and new bookings.

Is this new? I thought at first it didnt carry over or did I just miss that?

Ok...so if I find a cheaper flight for my day what do I do? How do I change it? I booked a Web only price
