Hi -

The WW customer service line is closed for the weekend, so I thought I'd see if anybody on the Disboards knew the answer :)

I had joined WW at the beginning of the year and lost about 14 pounds. I stopped attending meetings in April, but somehow managed to keep about 10 of the lost pounds off.

Tomorrow I am planning on re-joining and am wondering if I can continue to use my old book with my original starting weight. I'd like to be able to have those 10 pounds count towards future goals (5% target, etc.)

Does anybody know if they'll let me do that - or will I have to start over with a new book and a "new" starting weight? :confused3

Thanks,
Laura

I can't be the only person who has re-joined and wants credit for previously lost weight, can I :confused3

Oh well - I guess I'll find out tomorrow. (Maybe I'll throw a 10 pound weight in my pocketbook in case they say "no") :)

I'm curious to hear the answer, but I think the answer will be "no". If it had only been a few weeks, I think they would let it count, but since it has been months, I think they want you to start "fresh"..................p

So, I went to re-join this morning and the girl at the counter initially said "no". She said the system would not accept my barcode and there was no way to override it.

I said fine - but before you weigh me in let me put my shoes back on, put my keys in my pocket and put my water bottle in my purse (which I will keep on my arm).

That's when the other girl at the counter asked what was going on - I told her I wanted to keep my book and starting weight from earlier in the year and was told I couldn't, so I was going to "gain" 10 pounds so the loss would be recorded when I weighed in next week.

She told me that wasn't necessary and showed the girl how to override it in the system.

As with a lot of other company's policies, I guess it just depends on who you get. I'm glad it worked out ;)
