I had posted before about wanting the trundle bed so my very active sleepers (ds's 4 and 6) won't have to share a bed with DH and I.

Can you guarantee a room in the AB or is it all based on availability and you get what you get? If I can't gurantee the Bayou, I would probably spend the extra $ for ASMU family suites or WL (bigger beds, more wiggle room).

Unfortunately, it is only a request, but you could call the resort 5/4 days before arrival and explain how important it is foir you have a trundle bed.

It would be a shame to gave to spend more money on a AS Suite.

I thought that they were standard in the AB, but I am probably wrong. We stayed last year, just the 4 of us, and we had one in our room. The kids of coarse thought it was pretty cool!

But, you can't guarantee the AB section even if they are standard there.

Families of 5 get the trundle bed for sure. Families of 4 would get it as a request or just luck of the draw.

Yes, a family of 5 will be sure to be placed in AB and get a trundle.

Because of that it is not guaranteed to anyone else. I think it really depends on the season you travel in. Since it is one of the only options for a family of 5 and there are many families of 5 that travel to Disney they do tend to book up. If you are willing to move rooms and are placed in a non-trundle bed you can ask them to move you when a room opens up if you don't get one originally.

It is my understanding you will be placed in the Alligator Bayou (AB) section of the resort. Have stayed at this resort on three different occasions and families of five are guaranteed to get a trundle bed. Enjoy your time at this wonderful resort.
