We own 150 points at BCV with a March UY. We have borrowed 38 of our 2006 points so have 112 remaining. We would like to try for a reservation at Vero Beach for February at the 7 month mark, which would be July, using 96 points. If we get a reservation, bank the remaining points in August and then between August and February have to cancel the Vero trip, what happens to those points we used to make the reservation? Thanks in advance!

If you cancel after the banking window, any points not banked would be lost. If you cancel within 30 days of the ressie, the points would go into a holding account, and can only be used the last 60 days of your use year (which in this case would be by the end of February). IF you cancel before August 31, you will be able to bank all the points. If you cancel before November 30, you would be able to bank up to 75 points. If you cancel after November 30 but before December 31, you would be able to bank up to 38 points. All other non-bankable points would need to be used before the end of February, 2007.

I forgot to mention that the banking deadlines are on page 46 of you current vacation planner. You can also put those points into an II exchange, but in your case, you wouldn't have enough points to do that, since the minimum for an II exchange is 124 points.
