In Sept at WDW it was our 2 DSs birthdays. They mentioned to the lady that checked us in at Saratoga Springs it was there b-days. She gave them Its my b-day buttons to wear. 3 CMs gave them free trading pins of their choice off of their landyards. 1 CM gave them a pin at MGMs pin station on the way to RNR.
So if its their b-day month have them wear the button.

Im be there on my b-day, June 30 too! But we are really going for our anniversary, June 11. We had our honeymoon at WDW and have been at least once a year since.
I wonder if I should wear a birthday or an anniversay pin?
Is pin trading addictive? Yes! Is it fun? No, it's way more fun than fun. My 22 yr old daughter went nuts last week. She became a pinaholic and can't wait to go again in April. What a way to go. It is so enjoyable.
Pinseller.com sells good Disney grab bags. I've bought there twice and have been very pleased. They are all good Disney pins. No concerns like you might have on Ebay (No, I'm not connected with them. Just a pleased customer)
Thank you EVERYONE for all your tips. So Molly I looked at that link you sent, saw all the pins coming out for when we're there. Ok ok so I could easily become addicted. I love the peekers! I would love to have all the character peekers on my lanyard. Oh and the tink ones are so cute! Ok so I might get more than one.
MWD, I see that you are leaving in 7 days, but not how long you will be staying. If you are there on the 9th, there is a pin trading night at the Paradise Pier Hotel.
We received our vouchers yesterday from Getawaytoday.com. They came with lanyards and 3 pluto pins that say Disneyland on them. We've never done pin trading before but I'm wondering if these are pins that my son could trade with a CM to get his favorite characters? Or do they have to be "certain" pins to trade? Like I said I know nothing about pin trading and I doubt it's something we'd really get into but thought it might be something fun for him to do this trip. Thanks
Oh yea...9 more days and counting...we've hit single digits baby!!!!!
We have always traded our GAT pins without issue. In fact, I ended up trading several of them because a couple kids at the hotel traded theirs to me because they wanted stuff I had on my lanyard before I even hit the parks.
I love the idea of putting some fabric on a board and displaying your pins that way! What a fun thing that I can have my kids do so they can enjoy their pins even more. And we can keep the magic going after we get home, putting new pins up and reminiscing. I'm all for more MAGIC!!!!
