? about PayPal

We are renting a condo from a couple in England in March. They require a security deposit before we go down (about four weeks before) and he suggested using PayPal so that I can use my credit card as it would be difficult to send him funds to hold and then have to return. Anyways, I've never used it and I'm not sure about it at all. Is it safe to do? I know a lot of people use it on Ebay. Can anyone tell me about it and how it works?

Just go to the payal site and enter your info, you enter in a credit card. If you were paying on ebay it would direct you through to pay by paypal. In your case, once you have registered, you go on the paypal site and click on "send money". The person you send money to has no access to your credit card number, although paypal itself has been hacked into and I personally have had my pp account compromised, therefore I now change my password after any purchase, seems to work so far.

Yep it's safe. I did the exact same thing (rented a villa from a man in Cheshire England) this past Feb. without any problems at all!

We had a fantastic time in a gorgeous home!

I take all my payments for rentals through PayPal and have never had a problem. It's one of the safest and trusted ways to do business.

I use PayPal quite a few times for eBay purchases, never a problem. It takes a few days to enrol.

Thanks for the info I'm going to go this route. This is easier than paying for a money order and mailing it!
