?? about paying room balance/ charges with gift cards

Can you use gift cards to pay room balance when you check in? Also can you apply them to your room charge acct. even before charges have occurred or it is better to just stop by every couple of days and apply them? TIA

Yes you can pay at check in but you can't add them as a credit.
You must go back down every day or so and apply them.
Just don't wait to long or you might hit the mark where they automatically charge your card

Be warned that if you put any card down on your room ahead of time Disney has been known to run that card to pay off your room ahead of time.

If you have a CC on file your balance will be charged to that CC once the systems rolls over to the next day (6am ish). I would call and payoff the room using your GC before check-in day. If you have multiple GCs, you can combined them on https://www.disneygiftcard.com/ you can combine upto $1,000 per card. This way it is a lot easier to payoff room balance before trip with just a couple of GCs.
We found the best practice is to payoff any room charges every 2-3 days to prevent anything being charged against our CC. I also get a detail printout of all charges so I can review them.

You can just call ahead of time and have them apply the payment to your room with the gift cards.

Yes. If you want to pay your room off with a different card do it ahead of time.
