My periods are usually 32 to 34 days apart. I got it on 11-22, and I'm still not ovulating. (Did I forget to say DH and I want another baby? ) First I purchased the Clearblue Ovulation line test. I didn't like it, so I bought the really expensive Clearblue test that either has an empty circle, or a happy face if you're ovulating. So far I've only gotten empty circles. :sad2: I've been doing the test every day since the 2nd. This morning I got an empty circle, then this evening I did a line test. It kind of looks like it's two dark lines, not sure. So my question is, is it possible not to ovulate in the morning, but ovulate that very evening?:confused3

I don't know the answer to your question specifically, but I'm pretty sure you could begin ovulating at any time of the day or night -- then I think ovulation would last for a day or two (?). So you could have just "started" now, which would mean that you're going to have a window of the next day or so to ... erm ... get busy makin' that baby! :lmao:

Have you read Taking Charge of Your Fertility. Helps you find the various signs your body creates so you can figure out on your own what's going on. Temperature especially is helpful to know that you have ovulated...it's not like TV shows show it, where the temp goes up and THEN you babydance. RAther, once the temp is up it means ovulation has happened, and it's quite possible it's too late, because the sperm won't meet the egg until the egg is no longer viable.

I have a horrid time temping, so after quite awhile of trying to temp but failing at it (I have weird sleep habits and kept forgetting to take my temp before getting up in the morning to use the bathroom, and so on), I've started using the Clear Blue Easy *monitor*. I once tried ovulation sticks and it was just silly for me, so the monitor is nice because you can see things change on the digital readout, not by figuring out what a stick is saying.

OH, and from what I remember from when I was doing the normal ovulation sticks, you really should not do them in the morning, but in the afternoon, because unlike the pregnancy tests where the hormone builds up in your morning urine, the ovulation hormones tend to build up during the *day*.

And of course those tests only tell you that ovu is pending, they don't tell you WHEN it has happened, which is why it's nice to have temperature-taking in your repertoire as well, because the increase in temp shows that it's happened.
