Hi just wondered if someone could help. I am thinking about booking character breakfast at Ohanas but my younger son is soooooo fussy, he is 12 so therefore classed as adult meal on the DDP, but he wont eat eggs, bacon, etc the foods I see listed on the menus, he WOULD eat mickey waffles, sausage ( maybe) , bananas, doughnuts, cereal, toast, can anyone tell me are any of these things included on the menu? the rest of us would love to go to Ohanas .

Many thanks

They have waffles, fruit (pineapple, honeydew, cantaloupe, watermelon), sausage.. You might want to look at the menu..

Do they still have the Mickey waffles? I didn't see them on the menu.

OP, does your son like charaters? If so, this is great for the interaction with Mickey, Lilo & Stich!

They had the Mickey waffles when we were there in February. :goodvibes

In August they still had Mickey Waffles. They also have this great bread that everyone liked.

It's by far our favorite character meal. We are doing it on our last day before we head home. The characters there are great!

Thanks for all your help,

yip he does like the characters especially mickey and stitch, he is just so fussy at eating ! we also have chef mickeys and crystal palace booked and I know he will get things to eat on those menus, but for these family style meals i wasn't so sure as we havent done them before.
The mickey waffles i wasnt sure about as it doenst mention them but i was looking through someones food porn recently and their child had them.

Do they do pancakes at all? he would eat the bread too i think !

thanks

I have never seen pancakes at the breakfast, just the waffles and breakfast breads.

We were there last week & they had the waffles - they just don't come in the skillet. They also have biscuits, but no toast.

The breads are sweet breads & very sticky & have stuff in them - a picky eater may not eat them...

Have a great trip.

ok doke, thanks for your help. Think we will go and risk it , I am sure he wont starve... not at disney ..... not on the dining plan!!!!! :rotfl::rotfl:

many thanks

Went there in August. Mickey waffles, mixed fruit (strawbeeries, pineapple, cantolope, grapes etc.), eggs, bacon, sausage, and the sweat bread (I think it has pinapple bits in it and made with pineanpple juice) and a orange/papaya/mangoy fruit drink.

I was going to post a pic of my DS enjoying the Mickey waffles, but alas.... I cannot yet....:guilty:

I think the bread is a pineapple coconut bread. That is what they serve at dinner. It is yummy!

OP, we used to love CM, but the last few times the service and food were not so great. We are trying CP on our next trip!

Thanks, I have been reading reviews on CP so it looks good. although not Pooh fans so not terribly bothered by those characters, just the food! if you are going before me in oct would you please post a review if you can?

Thanks.

The definately have the waffles and sausages (which are enormous, almost like bratwursts) Very enjoyable time as well, no buffett all table service

Does he like fruit Cheryl? I don't like eggs or eat bacon either but have never had a problem getting fruit. I was going to offer to report back to you, but it looks like we are going at the same time. ;) Are the Ayrshire schools closed the first week of October or are you doing what I'm doing ... :rolleyes1

If your DS eats bread, fruit and sausage I am pretty sure he'll be able to fill himself up and be ready for the day. :goodvibes

ETA: Just thought, what date is your ADR at Ohana? If we go before you I could let you know while we are there - if you remind me before we leave.

We went there on our last trip over Thanksgiving. I was not looking forward to this at all and was going along just to make my kids happy (I am not a breakfast person, not one bit.) I was so surprised at how much I enjoyed the food! It was presented well and it was fresh, hot, and delicious. I wouldn't hesitate to go again.

hi

bananas are the only thing he will really eat, but will eat mickey waffles, the sausage should be ok though. Our schools close 8th oct so yip .... doing what your doing!!!!! hahaha, our adr is for the 5th oct , I am quite sure he 'll not starve though.

thanks

I also went with a picky eater and he left with a full belly...mickey waffles and biscuits and fruit. It was one of my family's favorite character meals. Have Fun! :cool1:

This is our favorite breakfast:cool1:
We do it every trip and the food is always WONDERFUL. I am not a breakfast eater (just a bowl of cereal will do for me) but Ohanas is so tasty that we all love it. They definately have the mickey waffles (YUMMMM) and bring them out seperately- but all you can eat:cloud9: Of course they have all the regular breakfast fare-eggs, sausage, potatoes, biscuts, bacon... There is a basket of sweet breads and delicious frest fruit although I dont think they had banannas. Maybe you could get one with a snack credit from the quick service area before you go to Ohanas so you would have it there.

We're only eating there on October 10th so my visit won't do you any good. However I am sure, as you say, that he won't go hungry. :)
